GrandMA Programmer

The New York office of Frost Productions is seeking experienced GrandMA Series 1 and 2 programmers who are based in the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut).  Our shows incorporate all types of lighting, including architectural, theatrical, and concert design concepts.

Salary Range: $35.00+ per hour; commensurate with experience

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setup and operation of lighting consoles and equipment
  • Direct all technicians under their supervision in the completion of any tasks to deliver the expected Frost level of service, providing guidance when necessary
  • Fulfill the role of System Tech or Console Operator, or both when required, depending on the size of the event

Position Requirements:

  • Proficient in GrandMA Series 2
  • Proficient in GrandMA Series 1 (All versions)
  • Networking Consoles and DMX Nodes
  • Ability to stay calm and design on the fly
  • Comfortable working in a high stress environment
  • Ability to interpret event technical documents such as, but not limited to, technical riders, channel/dimmer hookups, stage plots, run-of-show, cue lists, etc.
  • Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, be on-call as necessary
  • Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive collaborative attitude when working with clients and co-workers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the special event market (or related field)
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stand, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time
